Nearby parking alternatives include the Museo Nacional de Antropología e Historia, the Museo de Arte Moderno, and the Club Deportivo Chapultepec.
Museo Tamayo has ramps and an elevator to facilitate access to all areas and levels.
If you require a wheelchair, one can be requested at the reception desk by presenting a valid official ID.

Museum admission tickets are individual and non-transferable. They are valid only on the day of issue during regular opening hours.
Admission is free for children under 12, students, teachers, senior citizens with valid ID, and people with disabilities.
Children under 6 years old must be accompanied by an adult during their visit, following all guidelines and preservation rules for the artworks on display.
Entry with food, beverages, or sharp objects is not permitted. Pets are not allowed.
Helmets, bicycles, skateboards, and roller skates are also not permitted inside the museum.
A cloakroom service is available. Visitors may enter with bags or bulky items no larger than 30 x 15 x 40 cm.
If a visitor is under the influence of alcohol, it is recommended that they temporarily leave the premises.
Museum admission closes at 5:30 p.m. to allow visitors enough time to view the exhibitions before the museum closes at 6:00 p.m.
We kindly ask that you follow the instructions of the security staff during your visit.
Please maintain a minimum distance of 1 meter from the artworks.
Touching the artworks can compromise their preservation and the museum’s mission to protect and safeguard them.
To help preserve the collection, please avoid touching the artworks or making any gestures that could put them or other visitors at risk.
Security staff are responsible for ensuring the safety of the artworks; we ask that you treat them with courtesy.
If you need assistance at any time, please approach a member of the security staff, who will be happy to help.
Personal photography without flash is permitted.
Photo sessions for advertising, promotional, or commercial purposes, both inside and around the museum, are not allowed.
Professional photo sessions require prior authorization from the Subdirección General del Patrimonio Artístico Inmueble of INBAL.
The use of drones for photographic or audiovisual recording is not permitted.
To encourage deeper engagement with our audiences through dialogue and reflection on our programming, the Education Department offers guided tours of the exhibitions, the museum’s architecture, and its history.
Tours are led by the Education Department and the museum’s volunteer group.
Group visits are scheduled once all required information has been received, and a confirmation email will be sent by the museum.

El servicio de paquetería está deshabilitado. No se permitirá el acceso con bolsas, bicicletas o cualquier bulto voluminoso.
Para tu protección y la de los demás tomaremos tu temperatura. Si es mayor a 37.4° deberás regresar a casa.
No se permitirá el acceso con alimentos o bebidas.
Mantén en todo momento la sana distancia recomendada de 1.5 m, tanto dentro como fuera del museo.
Recuerda las medidas de protección a la salud: estornudo de etiqueta, lavado de manos, no tocar objetos ni superficies y sana distancia.
