A review of the Museo Tamayo's choreoperformatic archive

The study group Public Hall: The body in the museum, coordinated by choreographers Magdalena Leite and Aníbal Conde, has aimed to delve into the various choreographic and performance presentations made as part of the Tamayo Museum's exhibition program from 1987 to 2016.

Based on the exploration of documents, photographic and video records, curatorial texts and hemerographic notes, kept in the Research Center, the group addresses the historical development of ideas around the choreographic and the corporeal, in relation to museum spaces as qualified spaces, through almost forty years of museum history.

As a result of Leite and Conde's research sessions and methodological approach, a choreographic score was formed that will be activated in the museum spaces during its hours open to public visits.

This project is possible thanks to the collaboration of the Youth Contemporary Dance Company of the National Autonomous University of Mexico and the Tamayo Museum Research Center.
